Anniversary: IV

The Husband and I are pretty simple people when it comes to celebrating our milestones.

We didn’t have a big wedding, or a particularly extravagant honeymoon, and our anniversary tradition, year after year, has been to take a walk in the park where we got married.

There’s nothing fancy about it, but we aren’t fancy people. Our perfect day, more often than not, is just being together at home. You might call us boring, or introverts, or homebodies, but that’s just the way we roll.

Home means a lot to us. It’s a place where we can be our goofy, stupid selves. Where we can take off our pants and take cat naps in the sun and make each other laugh so hard we fall off the edge of the bed. (True story.)

Today marks six years together (four years married, but six years that count), and my dear, you still make me laugh harder than anyone I know. I mean, I still don’t laugh as hard at your jokes as YOU do, but it’s close. Thank you for being my best friend and biggest fan for six years, and counting.

Here’s to lookin’ at you, babe.

It’s become an accidental tradition that I write a little something for our anniversary every year. If you were holding out hopes for a recipe, I’m sorry to disappoint, but I promise more recipes are coming soon. If you’d like to see our previous anniversary blog posts, you can find them here:

Thanks Christine! I love that shirt, too — it’s referencing the TV show “Rick and Morty”, have you seen it? It’s crazy, but also hilarious.

I have just discovered your site and love the sound of your Asian Cucumber Salad. I would like to know where in the world you live that you can get Hothouse cukes for $.50. I’m gonna move there tomorrow. (Can you tell what my favorite veg is)?
